An Interesting Lesson I Observed Watching My Kids…

By:Jaime Soriano December 14, 2012

So it’s been a little while since I posted on my blog… Between the Holidays and me using and testing some new paid advertising strategies, I admit I’ve neglected my blog. But as soon as the Holidays are done, I’ll be posting new content daily. I’m talking videos, audios, reviews, the whole bit.

Until then, I wanted to quickly do a post. It’s not the “typical” post you’ll see here. But there is a business lesson in it. You might even call it a “LIFE” lesson…

Last week, my two boys entered their very first grappling tournament. Being only 7 & 8 years old, you can imagine how nervous and scared they were. Truth be told, I was pretty nervous myself for them. In fact, there were times (even the day before) where I felt that maybe they shouldn’t go through with it. But what “lesson” would that teach them? To back off whenever they were a little uncomfortable or to give into their fear and anxiety. I certainly didn’t want to show them that that was acceptable, so we decided to press forward.

Here’s a quick video to show you their “journey” to their very first tournament. (Unfortunately, you can’t be on a mobile device to view it since Youtube and the copywriting powers-that-be decided to not allow mobile viewing, so you’ll have to be on a computer to see it).

Click PLAY to watch the video…

You’ll be surprised at what you can accomplish…

See you on the next post!
