Developing A Daily Routine For Achieving Success

So you’ve just joined a network marketing company and you’re ready to start building your business. Right from the start, it’s important to understand that you are going into business for yourself. You are an entrepreneur and you are your own boss. Yes, it’s true that you have upline mentors and leaders that will coach you through the process, but at the end of the day you are in complete control of what you do (or don’t do) inside of your home business.

Because you’re 100% in charge of your business, it’s critical that you develop a daily routine for achieving success. In other words, you’re going to need a schedule, or daily method of operation, so you know exactly what you need to do to move your business forward.

As a network marketer, or home based entrepreneur, you’ll find that there will be many things you’ll have to learn and do. And to be frank, you’ll notice that you’re in a constant state of learning. Why? Because the market is not static and does not stand still. It’s constantly changing and evolving. Old marketing techniques are giving way to new ones, and social media is evolving on a daily basis.

You’ll also need to understand that consistent activity is vital to your success. Prospecting, sponsoring, training and selling should be done often if you want to experience success. For now, don’t worry about getting bogged down with all the details of your daily activity. You’ll have plenty of time to plan the details out. For the moment I just want to share 3 things you can do to keep you focused on what you need to do daily.

Keep in mind, these 3 things are easy to do, but even easier not to do. The hardest part is committing yourself to actually doing it. Once you commit yourself, the rest is easy as pie. Every great achiever implements daily rituals, and routines, in their lives, so you need to do the same.

1. Begin morning rituals which includes the following aspects:

Spiritual – This could include meditation, prayer, gratitude writing, etc. Some form of connection to your Spirit. This is very important because keeping you need to keep your priorities in order at all times. Obviously, I’m not going to tell you how to lead your life but the philosophy I was taught and I follow is to keep God first, Family second and Business third.

Mental – Reading inspiring books, watching videos, any material that will stimulate your mind positively. Putting positive information in your mind is critical to your success. It’s also good to implement positive affirmations and to declare them. The more you do so, the more you’ll embed them in your subconscious mind. It’s been said in this industry that your level of self development, and the amount of time you invest in self development, will directly influence your income. After 14 years, I agree and can vouch for this now more than ever.

Physical – Yoga, walking in nature, exercise. You want to get your body in motion and work up a sweat. Implementing some form of exercise also allows you to work off negative energy and stress.

Your morning rituals are most effective in durations of 30 to 60 minutes, with 60 minutes being ideal. However, make it suitable for your needs. Keep in mind this is crucial to your strategy for success.

2. Begin an Evening Review:

I’m sure you’ve heard the old sayings: ‘That which gets measured gets done’ and ‘You can’t expect what you don’t inspect’. What these sayings basically mean is you need to keep your self accountable and on track to whatever goals you’ve set for yourself. The only way to do that is to monitor what you’re doing daily. Yes, I said DAILY. Your goal is to ‘move the ball down the field’ on a daily basis. As long as you can keep yourself doing that, you’ll be in great shape.

Here are some things you should be conscious of when you review your day:

Marketing – Did you take time to market? Whether it was a blog post, an article or a  video – as long as you did something, you’re doing good.

Sponsoring – Did you sponsor a new person into your business? Obviously, you don’t need to personally sponsor someone new everyday but you should be focused on sponsoring activity.

Team Building – Did you help one of your team member’s sponsor someone? While this is not a substitute for personal sponsoring, it’s still grows your team.

Training – Did you work with anyone new on your team? This does not necessarily mean you have to train each person one by one. You can utilize conference calls and webinars to leverage your time and effort.

Remember to keep a close eye on your daily results. This alone will play a big role in building a successful business.

3. Write down your daily tasks to complete:

Another important habit you should build is preparing for the next day. You should jot down what you need to get done the very next day so when your day starts, you don’t waste any time thinking about what you should be doing. You basically wake up and get into ‘plan execution’ mode.

Here are some things you can jot down and prepare for:

Calling Leads – Jot down the most important 5-10 calls you need to make the next day. These calls should be business building calls with the intention of bringing new people into your business. This is important to be conscious of so you don’t get sucked into phone calls that will just waste your time.

Webinars Or Conference Calls – You should make a note of any important webinars or conference calls you need to plug into so you don’t forget. Remember, it’s important to stay plugged into your company’s training events.

Offline Marketing – If you’re doing any offline marketing, make a note of any events or meetings you need to attend and plan your schedule accordingly.

Whether you do online or offline marketing, or a combination of both, you want to write out your tasks clearly and check them off as you go along during the day. Doing this concrete action plan daily will net you tremendous results; and you will see yourself transform into the leader you knew you could be.

If you are ready to develop yourself, your business and your life into what you desire, then make sure you are taking advantage of each day. In order to do that, you need to stick to a daily routine. Remember, success leaves clues. Ask any top earner or industry leader if they managed their days and worked with a daily routine and they’ll tell you that they did. As long as you do the same you will get the same results and see success in your business.

So there you have it: That’s how you develop a daily routine for achieving success.
