So you’re excited about your Home Business, and you’re ready to recruit the world. If you’re like 97% of amateur marketers then you’re probably about to verbally vomit on your contacts and prospects. You’re about to tell them about how great your company is and how no one else has the same products or services as you do. You’re also probably going to start telling them about how no other compensation plan in the Industry can compare to yours. While all that may be true, you need to understand something: People don’t care about any of that stuff! Sure, it’s beneficial to have a solid company and great products, but at the end of the say, people will not join you because of that. Why? Because people only buy from and join people they know, like and trust. The sooner you can come to grips with that, the sooner you’ll be able to start sponsoring new people at will.
With all that said, here are the 3 questions people are asking about you when they are exposed to your business opportunity.
#1. Do I Like You?
Make no mistake about… No one will join you if they don’t like you. It sounds like common sense, doesn’t it? But common sense isn’t so common nowadays. That’s why amateur marketers feel compelled to bombard their prospects with cheesy sales pitches, before they even try to build rapport with them. This is why SPAM doesn’t work. People don’t care about products and compensation plans. They want to work with someone they know and like.
#2. Will I Get Value From Working With You?
Value, value and more value. That’s what people are looking for. Remember, you have to give people a reason for wanting to work with you. What kind of support and training can you provide? If you’re new yourself and you can’t provide a ton of training, can you at least direct them to a source for training or plug them into a system?
#3. Do I Trust You?
This is critical. If you seem like you can’t be trusted, you have no chance of building an MLM business. So how do you build trust? Make it a point to always create a benefit for all parties whenever making a business decision. And never make a decision based on money. Always do the right thing by your people and never lie to them. The minute you lie, you’ll lose all the trust they have in you. And once you lose it, you’ll never get it back.
