Total Life Changes Review – What Does Total Life Changes Sell?

Total Life Changes is a company that sells nutritional products through a Network Marketing business model. The company has been around for many years and actually operates in more than 100 countries, even though the US market is just in the beginning stages of development. Like other “Coffee MLMs” before them, Total Life Changes’ main focus early on was growing the Latin American market. It wasn’t until recently when a handful of experienced marketers got involved that the company has started to put a spotlight on their US distributors. While it goes against what most Network Marketing companies do, which is build their US market first before expanding Internationally, a major advantage of this strategy is that they probably worked out all the kinks and glitches already and their US distributors shouldn’t run into many problems that usually occur with new companies. This is important if you’re serious about becoming a distributor. Take it from someone who has been involved with two start-up companies, the constant hiccups and roadblocks that come up are extremely distracting. That fact that you most likely don’t have to deal with these “new company” headaches are a major plus.

iaso teaAs far as their product line goes, the company actually sells a wide variety of healthy products. Their flagship product is called Iaso Tea, which is tea designed to rid the body of toxins and parasites. They also sell coffee infused with Ganoderma extract. Ganoderma, or Reishi, is a mushroom that grows in Asia that is reported to boost your immune system and regulate your blood pressure. If you aren’t much of a coffee drinker, the company also sells a healthy version of hot chocolate and cappuccino. In addition to their beverage line, the company also markets an anti-aging skin care line of products. While you can purchase products separately, the company provides several convenient “Kits” which pair some of the products together in a bundle.

iaso cafeOn a quick side note, here’s my personal thoughts on the company’s product line. While I’m not going to go into specifics and details of Total Life Changes’ actual products, I do have an opinion on the actual product categories they’re involved in. For the last few years, the most popular product inside of the Network Marketing Industry has been healthy coffee. And when you look at the stats, it’s not hard to see why. For most people, drinking coffee is a habit which makes it a product that offers strong potential for residual income. Coffee is one of the most consumed beverages in the world, second only to water. From a marketing perspective, it’s easy to give people samples since the coffee comes in convenient sachet packets. When it comes to selling a product, coffee is a pretty easy sell since most people already drink it. You’re simply offering people a healthier version of a habit they already have.

tlc skin care productsAs far as skin care goes, the Industry stats speak for themselves. Over the last few decades, the Direct Sales companies that have risen to “Billion Dollar Company” status have mostly been skin care companies. Of course, I’m not saying that Total Life Changes will be a Billion Dollar company. Frankly, it’s still too early to tell since they’re just starting to get some traction, so who knows? Maybe they will. Maybe they won’t. With that being said, you (as a distributor) can still build a good income for yourself even if Total Life Changes never does a billion dollars in sales so don’t get too hung up on it.

Total Life Changes Review – How Do You Make Money With Total Life Changes?

The compensation plan provides 4 ways to get paid. There are ways to earn immediate income, and there are ways to build back-end residual income. Here’s a simple breakdown of the 4 ways to earn income:

1. Retail Commissions – You can earn 50% commissions on all your personal retail sales. This 50% payout is not only on their initial order, but also pays monthly as long as the customer continues to purchase products monthly.

2. Fast Start Bonus – On all your personally sponsored distributors, you can earn 50% commission on their initial purchase, or their Starter Pack. For example, if you sponsor someone who joins at the $100 Starter Pack, you’ll earn a $50 Fast Start Bonus. If you sponsor someone at the $1,500 Starter Pack (which is the highest pack you can join at), you’ll earn a $750 Fast Start Bonus. Be sure to review the compensation plan document so you know what the BV value of each product is. You actually get paid on the BV so this is important to know.

3. Binary Pay – Like other Binary compensation plans, you have to build a left leg and a right leg. The company pays out 10%-30% of your pay leg volume. And at the higher ranks, you can earn 1%-4% on your power leg volume. There is a cap on the Binary Pay so make sure you review the official compensation plan document.

4. Matching Check – You can earn a 50% Matching Check on the Binary Pay of all the distributors you personally enroll. You can also earn a 10%-50% Matching Check on the Binary Pay of all the distributors that are on your 2nd level in your personal enrollment tree.

In addition, the company also has a Luxury Car Program that top producers can qualify for. Big deal, right? There are dozens of other companies that have a Car Program or Car Bonus. What makes Total Life Changes different is that they actually purchase the car and hand you the keys, instead of giving you a bonus to make a car payment.

Overall the compensation plan looks very lucrative. But if I had to pick something I didn’t like about the compensation plan, it would be the qualifications to hit positions. In my opinion, the qualifications for the higher positions are extremely difficult to hit since they require you to have a tremendous amount of active personally sponsored distributors, and your Personal Volume must increase to hit positions. For example, to hit the position of Global Ambassador, you need to have 24 personally sponsored active distributors on both your left and right legs, for a total of 48 active personals, which means you’re going to have to need way more than 24 active personals on each side since most people won’t stay active for more than 6 months or so. That’s not because Total Life Changes is bad, it’s just the Industry-wide stats that say that.

You also need to have 4 personally sponsored National Ambassadors. Personally, I’m not too fond of these qualifications. Why? Because in Network Marketing, there’s a high possibility that you’ll find most of your leaders a few levels below you, as you taproot through people. With these requirements, if you sponsor someone and start to drive a leg down and even if you find a leader down that leg and help them hit National Ambassador, it doesn’t fulfill the requirement since the National Ambassador has to be personally sponsored. So in order to have 4 personally sponsored National Ambassadors, you have to personally sponsor a humongous amount of people, which becomes increasingly difficult as you build a bigger group since you’re usually supporting your leaders, going deep and building strong legs.

In addition to that, you must have a $2,000/month personal autoship at the Global Ambassador level. Sure you can offset that by getting personal customers, but let’s be real… if you’re a builder, you’re investing your time building leaders and groups, not trying to run around and get personal retail customers.

With that being said, I’m definitely not saying it can’t be done, and I’m most certainly not saying that Total Life Changes has a bad compensation plan. There’s definitely money in the compensation plan and one can certainly earn a significant income with it. In fact, for new distributors (especially at the early levels), the company pays out significantly more than most Network Marketing companies. All I’m simply saying is you need to be fully aware of how the compensation plan works, and how to hit positions and move through the ranks, if you’re serious about building a stable long-term business.

Total Life Changes Review – Is Total Life Changes A Solid Business Opportunity?

Attraction-Marketing-crop2The short answer is YES. The company is several years old and operates in many countries. They are selling two of the most marketable products in the Industry in coffee and skin care. And the compensation plan is lucrative. So once you join, those things should help you succeed automatically, right? Nothing could be further from the truth. At the end of the day, while those things are certainly good to have in a business opportunity, your success will ultimately depend on your ability to generate quality leads, personally sponsor new people into your team and build teams. It’s for these reasons that I recommend that you learn Attraction Marketing. If you can position yourself in front of people that are interested in what you’re offering, you’ll be able to get leads online and sponsor people at will. If you can leverage Attraction Marketing, use good online marketing systems and use effective offline team building techniques, there’s no telling how big your Total Life Changes business can be.

I wrote this Total Life Changes Review for people looking into the company. Sadly, most TLC reps will never see the success they desire because they lack the marketing skills to generate 20-50 leads a day.
