If you’re reading this article, chances are you’re looking into Young Living and searching for some information on the company and business opportunity. In this simple third party review, I’ll go into some details about the company, products and compensation plan. In addition, I’ll also cover how you can position yourself ahead of your competition, should you decide to join.
First of all, let’s go into the actual company. Young Living is a company that sells nutrition products and therapeutic massage oils through a network marketing business model. The company was founded in 1993 by Gary Young. Young spent years researching therapeutic-grade oils after being introduced to them in 1985. While the company’s main corporate office is located in Lehi, Utah, they also have regional offices located in Japan, Australia and the United Kingdom. In addition, the company operates four farms and distilleries that enable the company to maintain it’s position as the world’s leading provider of therapeutic oils. The farms are located in the US, France and Ecuador. Running their own farms also lets the company control the entire production process and insuring the highest quality possible. From a business perspective, it’s also interesting to note that the company has a very solid management team in place and Young Living has some very interesting partnerships with some very reputable entities including The Beth Israel Medical Center.
As far as their products go, Young Living markets several different product lines. The flagship product line is the Essential and Massage Oils, which has health benefits that date back to 4500 BC. They also market a nutrition line called Essential Nutrition, which has several antioxidant products, weight management and cleanse products, vitamin supplement products and even a liquid nutritional made from wolfberry called NingXia Red. They also market a product line called Essential Living, which contains skin care products, hair products, home care products and even several pet care products. In addition, they also sell a line of oil blends called Thieves. The products look to be of great quality. Of course, if you’re serious about joining the company, you should invest some time looking into the products yourself so you feel great promoting them.
Now, let’s go over the business opportunity. Young Living’s unilevel compensation plan provides several ways to earn income. Immediate income can be made through retail commissions and rebates, enrollment bonuses, matching enrollment bonuses and team performance bonuses. And, back-end income can be built through monthly unilevel commissions, generational commissions and additional leadership bonuses. Overall, the compensation is quite generous and, for the right person, Young Living can be a fun and lucrative business venture.
In closing, Young Living is a very credible company and has a solid business opportunity. However, contrary to what you may have been told, that has very little to do with whether you will be successful or not. While it’s obviously beneficial to you to have a strong company supporting you, what truly determines whether you will succeed or not, is your ability to sponsor other people into your business, your ability to effectively sell products on a consistent basis and your ability to build a strong group of downline of distributors. And, one of the biggest factors to accomplishing those three things is your ability to market. If you don’t have a clue about marketing, you will have a hard time building your business. It’s vital to your success that you get the right marketing training so you can brand yourself and generate an endless flow of quality leads. Of course, you can build your business using old school, traditional, offline techniques but, for the average person, calling on your existing friends and family will only take you so far. If you can combine effective offline strategies with the ability to generate leads online, there’s no telling how big your organization can get.

Sadly, most distributors will never see the success they desire because they lack the marketing skills to generate sufficient leads for their business.
