Mindset

Hey there… Jaime here again…

Napoleon-Hill-s-Keys-to-Success-Hill-Napoleon-9781455808731And today I wanted to share with you the Top 3 Take-Aways I got from Napoleon Hill’s book, ” Keys To Success: The 17 Principles Of Personal Achievement”.

Before I share those Take-Aways with you, I want to make clear one thing:

If you plan on doing well in your home business, and you plan on building a strong productive team, you need to get into Self Development.

Why? Because if you’re going to attract and lead quality people, and you’re going to build Financial Independence, you’re going to need to get your MINDSET right.

MINDSET is critical to your success… in Network Marketing, in sports, and in everything else in your life. Without the right MINDSET, you’ll have little to no chance of success. And you’re definitely not going to attract the right people to your team.

I heard a long time ago that you attract who you ARE… not who you WANT.

So that should tell you that you have to be constantly working on yourself. So you can be the person that quality people are attracted to.

With that being said, if you’ve been on my blog before you probably have heard me say that reading success-oriented book are a great way to condition your mind.

In my library in my home office, I have around 50 success-oriented books that I’ve collected over the past 15 years from authors like Anthony Robbins, Joel Osteen, John C. Maxwell, and Brian Tracy. And after reading all those books, I’m still looking for good books and good audio training CDs that I can dive into.

Why? Because I know I’ve got a long way to go to become the person that I’m supposed to be.

Recently, I finished reading Napoleon Hill’s book “Keys To Success: The 17 Principles Of Personal Achievement”. Here are the Top 3 Take-Aways I got from the book:

1. You Must Develop Definiteness Of Purpose How clear are your goals? What do you specifically want and what’s your crystal clear plan to get it? In the book, it says that “definiteness of purpose is the starting point of all achievement” and “the lack of it is the stumbling block for 98% out of every hundred people”.

That’s powerful. Do you understand that just by getting real clear about what you want, and having specific goals, you already put yourself in front of 98% of the population. In other words, you’ve positioned yourself with the elite 2% of the world just by having clear goals, or “definiteness of purpose”.

In addition to having clear goals, he goes on to say that thinking about your goals all day long will embed them into your subconscious mind. This is key to success.

You know what 98% of the world is embedding into their subconscious mind? Negative crap. Bad news. Dis-empowering thoughts. Most people convince themselves that they won’t succeed, so guess what? They don’t…

2. You Must Establish A Mastermind Alliance – A mastermind alliance is when two or more people work together to achieve a common goal.

It’s been said that there’s power in numbers.

Wolves band together in packs.

Birds come together in flocks.

People are stronger when they have support from friends and family.

And in business, you’ll get to where you want to go, and get there faster with a mastermind alliance. When you have a small (or big) team of people working with you, they won’t let you quit when times get tough. You’ll also perform better when you know a team is working with you.

Show me a successful person… and I’ll show you someone with a mastermind alliance that helped him or her succeed.

3. Learn From Adversity And Defeat – You might not want to hear this but you WILL fail. You WILL stumble.

You WILL make mistakes.

You WILL screw things up at some point.

That’s life.

Just get over it.

It’s OK.

Just learn from it. Every single mistake you’ll make has the potential to teach you a valuable lesson. For example, with every mistake you make and every defeat you experience, you learn what NOT to do next time. Isn’t that true?

Just keep in mind, the most successful people around are also the ones that failed the most, and failed the fastest.

It’s OK to fail, as long as you learn from it.

In closing, I want to repeat what I said earlier in this post… If you want to have success in your business, you have to get into Self Development. It’s the only way to get your mind and attitude right. Reading the right books, listening to the right audios, and attending the right events will do more for your business than anything else.

I really hope you got some value from this post. Feel free to share this post on Facebook and tweet this on Twitter. And don’t forget to leave me a comment below.
